The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) is an international research organisation at the forefront of neutron science and technology. Come and join the ILL’s Quality, Risk Management and Nuclear Safety Unit (known as the CQSR – Cellule Qualité Sureté Risques), a small, dynamic team of five people which reports directly to ILL Management. The core mission of the CQSR is to maintain and improve the ILL’s Integrated Management System (IMS), which enables the Institute to comply with regulatory requirements for basic nuclear installations (known as INBs – Installations nucléaires de base).
This includes aspects relating to nuclear safety and quality management.
Your tasks
As a quality assurance engineer, you will play an active part in the development and maintenance of the IMS.
Your main duties will be to:
• Manage the audit and document control processes
• Propose solutions to help process managers maintain and improve their processes
• Support process managers in preparing and leading process reviews
• Prepare the IMS management reviews
• Manage process performance indicators
• Create the content for and lead the various SMI training sessions
• Prepare and conduct the internal and external quality audits (including field work) on IMS processes
• Conduct the analysis of events regarding human and organisational factors
This multifaceted position represents a real opportunity to bring a proactive and creative approach to dealing with a wide range of issues and subjects (technical, quality, regulatory, etc.). In this context, you will be required to work in a cross-functional capacity with a large portion of the ILL’s staff, including the scientists.
